Berti Vogts Still Not Fired

world cup qualifying

Despite Nigeria’s abysmal performance at the Africa Cup of Nations, Berti Vogts still hasn’t been fired. Nigeria entered as one of the favourites but left as the biggest disappointment. They only decent 45 minutes Nigeria pput together came after Vogts was apparently udermined in the dressing room at halftime by Nigerian sports minister Amos Adamu. It’s also being suggested that Vogts has no role to play in Nigeria, and no place in modern football at all. Certainly his spells with Kuwait, Scotland and now the Super Eagles would support this theory, harsh as it is. Now FIFA technical committee member Adegboye Onigbinde is urging the Nigerian FA to get it sorted and get rid of Berti . The two for one World Cup 2010 and Africa Cup of Nations 2010 qualifying dance gets underway in just over three months time, with Nigeria facing a tough game against South Africa on May 30th. So the NFA need to do something, and do it pretty quickly.
