Campbell in talks with Newcastle

Released Arsenal defender Sol Campbell could stay in the Premiership this season. Campbell has held talks with Olympique Marseille and Fiorentina about a Bosman move away from England for the coming season. But the Sunday Times says Campbell has held informal talks with Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder, though an offer may rest on whether Roeder can offload Jean-Alain Boumsong.
